Summer Camp Scholarships
In 2006, Disciples Crossing was blessed to have been the beneficiary of an estate gift from the late Mrs. Lois Potter. Mrs. Potter asked that her gift be used to create a scholarship fund for children and youth who would be attending Disciples of Christ summer camps. The Potter Fund disburses almost $30,000 annually to deserving kids who otherwise might not be able to attend summer camp. We are so grateful for the generosity of Mrs. Potter and for the impact that her gift makes on countless lives.
Scholarship Application Process and Requirements
Applications for a Potter Fund scholarship are available when Summer Camp Registration opens. All applications must be submitted online at the link provided via the buttons above. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. All children and youth who have significant financial need and are attending a programmed summer camp are eligible to apply. We encourage the camper’s congregation to pay one half of the total fee, if they are able and where applicable, with the remainder to be covered by the Potter Fund. This allows us to help as many deserving campers as possible.
